Corporate Social Responsibility Evening in Aid of Demelza

A special business networking event in aid of Demelza on

• Wednesday 22 April 2009, at Demelza House in Sittingbourne

The event which is being organised by the Kent Branch of Marketing will see Ted Gladdish Chief Executive of Demelza make a presentation about Corporate Social Responsibility.  All proceeds of this event will go towards Demelza.

Ian Lockyer, Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Kent Branch) said,’ Corporate Social Responsibility is on the agenda for companies of all sizes and in this networking event, we will see how a professional charity works with its corporate partners. Ted will be supported by some of Demelza’s business supporters including NatWest, Lloyds of London and Axis Europe .who will give details about how well their CSR programmes have worked with Demelza.’

About Demelza…

Demelza is an organisation providing hospice care for over 450 children with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Kent , East Sussex and South London. Demelza relies heavily on corporate donations and business support from staff fundraising to sponsorship, volunteering to gifts in kind. This corporate fundraising support is vital, with the charity having to raise £3.5million a year to operate. With Corporate Social Responsibility becoming increasingly important for businesses of all sizes, Demelza works in partnership with companies to maximize charitable support.

Natalie Tegg, Business Development Manager at Demelza said, “We will have some of our best business supporters illustrate the ways that they have got involved with Demelza and how it has positively affected their business.”
