New Year, new start
Monday, December 22nd, 2008September may be the traditional time for thinking about professional qualifications but marketers no longer have to restrict themselves to just once a year. The majority of The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s study centres now run professional qualification courses that start in January as well.
As time and location are often obstacles to continuing further development many of The Institute’s study centres are introducing a wide range of flexible options, including online, blended and distance learning.
“We want to make it as uncomplicated as possible for marketers to continue their professional development,” said The Institute’s director of education, Keith Fletcher. “Which means students can now register and begin in January as well as the traditional September start date. And the range of study methods makes it easier for them to juggle their work, study and personal lives, which our own research backs up.”
“With competition in the profession hotting up, every marketer, whatever their age, needs to demonstrate a thorough and up-to-date understanding of their role. In addition, with the current challenging economic climate, marketers need to ensure that they can confidently demonstrate their positive contribution to business and a professional qualification will help them to do this,” added Fletcher.
