MENTORING …………is it for you?
Friday, July 18th, 2008Mentoring is a good way to support personal development. On the one hand it affords those with less experience the opportunity to obtain guidance and advice from someone who has already travelled the journey, and on the other, allows the experienced person to give something back to their profession.
The agenda is driven by the person who is being mentored. It is usually an ongoing relationship with the mentor, and takes a broader and longer term view of the person’s professional development.
We are considering setting up a mentoring scheme for branch members later in the year. But, for now we want to gauge your interest and support.
Perhaps you are already a mentor and could share your experience, or maybe you have just commenced your career and need guidance. Whatever the case, please drop an e-mail to ian@cimkent.co.uk by 30 October 2008, and state your interest.
