World-class marketer becomes President of CIM Kent Branch

The Kent Branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing is pleased to announce that the world renowned marketing strategist, Dr Paul Fifield has agreed to become its President.

Dr Paul Fifield is an internationally renowned marketing expert and a keen supporter of the Chartered Institute of Marketing nationally. His doctorate is in Marketing Strategy and he is visiting Professor of Marketing at the University of Southampton. Dr Fifield has agreed to attend a proportion of the branch’s events, including its Student of the Year Awards and Chartered Marketer Events.

Dr Paul Fifield has a long association with the Kent Branch and has family links in the county. He recently gave the CIM Annual Marketing Lecture where he addressed over 110 CIM members and guests on ‘The Scorpio Approach’ to successful marketing. See www.fifield.co.uk for more information.

Dr Fifield said,’ Although Branch President is perceived as a ceremonial position, I will be very much on hand to assist the branch in its future development.’

Ian Lockyer, CIM Kent Branch Chairman commented, ‘this is a real coup for the Kent branch, to have one of the leading marketing thinkers in the world as a figurehead for the branch. This is another important step for the Kent CIM and adds credence to our message that marketing is a integral discipline to business in the 21st Century.’

The Kent Branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing has over 1,000 members spread across the county. The branch committee is made up of volunteers who are responsible for arranging lectures and workshops throughout the year.
