Women win top marketing awards
Monday, December 4th, 2006Three women from South Kent College picked up awards from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) for attaining the highest marks in their CIM courses in the County. The Awards were presented at the Hop Farm by the Kent Branch Chairman, Ian Lockyer.
Speaking on behalf of the CIM, Ian said: “All three have done extremely well; these qualifications aren’t easy and we wish them well in their future careers and welcome them to become full members of the CIM”.
Terry Botfield, Head of Business Development for South Kent College, added: “We are very proud that all the top students have come from our College, we aim to offer the highest standard of teaching and this has been shown by our students’ results.”
On winning her award for achieving the top student award in the Professional Marketing Diploma, Suzy Ramsey of Whitstable said: “The course was challenging, but I worked hard and it was all worth it in the end.”
Melanie Williscroft from Canterbury said: “I am very pleased to have won the Top Marketing Student Award for the CIM Professional Certificate course. It’s always nice to get recognition for your hard work and I am pleased to see the Kent Branch of the CIM supporting their student members. I am continuing with the Professional Diploma this year and hope to do as well in the future.”
Laura Harvey from Maidstone commented: “I was very pleased to pass my exams for the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and very surprised to win an award for my results. It is a useful and well respected qualification”
All the winners were presented with a certificate and a CIM book token.
