Exciting times ahead as new branch chairman takes the lead

Tuesday, August 8th, 2006

The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s (CIM) Kent branch is set to be placed “back on the map” according to new Chairman, Ian Lockyer.

Leading a voluntary team responsible for more than 1,000 Kent members, the Herne Bay based Marketing Manager plans to position the branch as one of the county’s leading professional marketing bodies through its extensive range of events and services.

Commenting on his new role, Ian said: ‘I am looking to re-establish Kent CIM back on the map in front of its membership and the business community in Kent. We have a series of events planned and are revamping our website. More importantly we have a strong team from all over the county behind us.’

Ian has been secretary for the Kent branch twice before. He will now join fellow committee members; Andrew Harfoot (a previous Kent CIM Chairman) and Heather Wells from Springboard Marketing based in Tonbridge, Neil Lakeland from RBLI in Maidstone, Rick Perkins from Force 5 Marketing in Canterbury, Roz Glick from Business Link Kent in West Malling, Joe Dale from the Newman Group in Tunbridge Wells and Simon Wakeman from Medway Council.
